What happens during a sensory integration therapy session?

Sensory Integration Therapy

The therapist uses specialised equipment, swings, crash mats, weighted blankets, tactile bins, and balance boards, in a structured sensory gym. Activities look like play but target specific sensory systems. The OT adjusts challenges in real time based on your child's responses. Each session ends with calming activities to help your child self-regulate before leaving.
