How do I know if my child needs sensory integration therapy?

Signs include extreme reactions to textures, sounds, or lights. Difficulty sitting still or constant need for movement. Gagging at certain foods. Avoiding playground equipment. Frequent meltdowns during haircuts, tooth brushing, or clothing changes. If two or more of these disrupt daily routines, request a sensory processing assessment from a paediatric OT.
