Can OT prevent joint deformity in rheumatoid arthritis?

Rheumatoid Arthritis (OT)

OT cannot reverse existing deformity, but joint protection techniques and resting splints significantly slow progression. A 2018 study in Arthritis Care & Research found that RA patients who followed OT joint protection programmes had 40% less hand deformity progression over 4 years compared to those who did not.
